Swarms - Please do NOT kill these clusters, spray them with chemicals, or strike them with rocks or sticks. Springtime is the largest time for swarms and they occur when a hive divides. They have only a few days in which to locate a new home and settle in. Normally they will find a home the first day as they only have the food stored in their stomachs for a couple of days then they usually will die if they don't locate a new home or food source.
